A: I have worked in healthcare most of my career. I have a passion for creating spaces that help create environments that influence people. Spaces that help reduce anxiety for patients, families and medical staff. Design that engages people on a multisensory level and thus contributes to positive experiences. At HKS we are fortunate to have research integrated into our design practice, so we really understand how design influences outcomes. Q: Tell us a little about your background.

A: In my current role, I am the Regional Director for Health Interiors Studio and am based in our Northville office. I have been very fortunate in my career to work all over the world, experience different places and meet incredible people. I love to travel for work and personal to explore and discover new experiences. Q: Do you have any advice for those who might be interested in interior design?

A: I graduated with a Masters in Interior Design from Lawrence Technological University in 2011. A: I wanted to stay close to home and I also had a more technical-creative mindset, which made Lawrence Tech a good fit for me. Knowing that there were plenty of adjunct professors at Lawrence Tech, I was also confident that I could connect with educators who were employed in the industry I wanted to enter. Q: For those who may be interested in studying interior design, do you have any advice?
