NEW YORK – The New York Yankees traded underwriters Luis Sesa and Justin Wilson to the Cincinnati Reds late Tuesday night for a player selection.

This move may indicate that the Yankees are seeking a significant addition to their clients and have been looking to create space.

The deal was announced hours following New York’s 4-3 triumph over Tampa Bay, and Cincinnati finished with a 7-4 triumph over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.

The Yankees also made a big move on Monday, acquiring weaken Clay Holmes of the Pittsburgh Pirates for lesser league players Howie Park and Diego Castillo.

The 29-year-old Sesa has won 3-1 with a 2.82 ERA in 29 relief games for the Yankees this season.

Wilson, 33, was 1-1 with 7.50 ERA in 21 games. The left-hander missed 34 joint games in two stints on the injured list with left shoulder inflammation (March 29-April 9) and a strain in his right hamstring (May 29-30 June). He signed a one-year contract in February with a player option for 2022.

New York is nine games behind East leaders Boston and seven games in second place Rise, but they are much closer in the hunt for the second uncivilized card.

Cincinnati is second at NL Central, seven games behind Milwaukee, and is also chasing San Diego for the NL’s second uncivilized card.
