It has served me well and I’ve used others here and there, but I never realized what I was missing until I was asked to review the Philips Norelco SensoTouch 3D 1250XCC.
On this occasion, I took the opportunity to start wet shaving, as the 1250XCC allows for both wet and dry shaving. I used to only dry shave because that’s what I’m used to and honestly, it’s fast. However, I told myself I’d go for it and went for it, shaving cream, brush, etc. From the first time I used it, I was impressed with how close it shaves. Regardless of how it works, it really reminded me of my straight shave. I didn’t experience any burning, but I did experience a little irritation which is to be expected when using a new razor. Once I got used to the cutting technique on my face, it was smooth sailing from there. And even though shaving can be a pain, I looked forward to it.
After using the 1250XCC charger for the first time, it took about two weeks before I had to charge it. I was regularly shaving every other day and the time between refills was impressive for me. The device is sleek, fits well in the hand and glides over the face with relative ease. Its engine is also quiet, which is a nice touch. When your past includes clippers and a very old razor that your father gave you, it becomes a noticeable trait.
I was confused by the unusual appearance. It just seemed like a lot. The model I got comes with a charging dock, a base that mounts the blasting system, a neat travel case, and a few other miscellaneous features. After sitting for a while, I realized that I got used to connecting my Apple and working. I clean my shaver heads after every use, so if I had a choice between buying a shaver with or without a cleaning system, I would probably go for it. Now that I’ve used it, I’m glad I never had to make that choice. The in-flight cleaning system is a great feature because it really cleans thoroughly, and let’s face it, how well are you really going to clean it when you’re short on time? The extra attention a jet system offers is worth it, and your face will be better for it.
Overall, I am very impressed with this car. Retailing at $249.99, it’s worth every penny. If you put something on your face as often as you use a razor, why wouldn’t that be the best solution? The Philips Norelco SensoTouch 3D 1250XCC cuts so close that even my wife praised it and commented on how smooth it left my face.
