LondonAnd 28 July 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Nord Anglia Education released global figures today showing that online STEM courses its students took between April and June of this year were more popular compared to the alike period final year. The numbers are based on co-curricular student activities at Global Campus, Nord Anglia’s online learning platform used by its 67,000 students in 30 countries.
The latest figures show that 57% of Nord Anglia students chose STEM courses, which is a significant increase compared to 23% over the alike period in 2020. April to June are the top ten taught courses. Activities on the global campus included six STEM courses, including “Space Sustainability,” developed in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to challenge students to devise thoughtful solutions and promote sustainable space exploration

- Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities were the most popular and accounted for 57% of all online learning activities globally for Nord Anglia students, and proved particularly popular among students in ChinaAnd North America And Latin america, And India Straight.
- One in two students (48%) chose courses focused on developing creativity, with students in them ChinaAnd India And Southeast Asia Frequently engage in creative arts activities.
- Almost a third of students (30%) chose global citizenship activities to learn more about sustainable social impact. This area has proven to be the most popular with schools in India (1 out of 5 visits).
- 1 in 5 students (20%) have participated in well-being activities with yoga, one of the most popular online courses.
Nord Anglia data found that between April and June of this year, Global Campus recorded a 120% rise in users year-over-year.
